A Perniciosa Leitura de Pierre Menard

Gabriel Esteves

ABSTRACT: What takes an author to attribute concepts from the 19th century to a text from the 17th century? Certainly is one of the ideas prowling the modern literature students (which puts readers as autonomous figures of indispensable arrogance, without masters, mentors or any kind of reference). This work proposes itself to set questions about the very modern reader Pierre Menard, caricature proposed by Borges, and argues in favour of another logic.
